Biography

Zachary Young graduated from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas with a Bachelor in Science in 2006, where he was a multiple time Academic All-Conference football player. He would subsequently receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2009. While at the University of Tulsa, Mr. Young served as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and participated in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. During law school, he also worked as an intern for the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office.

Since law school, Mr. Young worked in both public and private practice. After working as a small-town attorney in Wilburton, Oklahoma, he gained extensive trial experience as an Assistant Public Defender for Tulsa County and an Oklahoma Indigent Defense System attorney for Rogers County. Mr. Young transitioned to civil practice in 2017, focusing on insurance and nursing home defense. Prior to joining Mullican & Hart, he was a Senior Staff Attorney for a company that worked with national retailers to prosecute criminal matters occurring on the store premises to ensure the safety of customers and employees.

Mr. Young is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and the State of Texas. He is also admitted to practice law in the Northern District of Oklahoma. Mr. Young has extensive courtroom experience and experience in insurance defense, nursing home defense, civil litigation, oil and gas, collection matters, small claims cases, criminal defense, and criminal prosecution.
