Biography

Matthew Covert graduated from the University of Oklahoma with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in 2009. After spending two years in the workforce, he returned to the University of Oklahoma to attend the College of Law, from where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2014. While in law school, Covert clerked from the Honorable Rebecca Brett Nightingale and E. Mark Barcus, District Judges of the Fourteenth Judicial District in Tulsa County. He competed on the National Native American Moot Court team representing O.U. at the national competition in 2014 and served as the Article's Development Editor of the American Indian Law Review.

Mr. Covert is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Tulsa County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma's state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma.
